Digital downloads

So for a while now crunkbox has been uncertain how it is going to handle digital downloads of mp3s. We have always known we want to combine physical cd's with mp3 downloads to the customer. That's the way online music sales are headed and want to stay just a step ahead of the pack...
But the question of technically how we can deliver that service to client has been a quandry. The quandry has been solved. Thanks to Jamroom and the Bigguy a mod is now available that provides this cool feature with almost zero impact on the existing software infrastructure. So here is to the Bigguy! Keep up the good work.

Crunkbox is almost up

Finally after months of incremental progress this website is coming together.
Through the efforts and steadfast diligence of Nick and Andy one way or another this site will launch sooner than later.

Some of the features we will offer include:
A full service store and personal website for indie artists.
A robust articles system to keep up with current events in the music biz.
And the venues directory for promoting the bars and clubs we love.

It is exciting stuff to be sure.
There are a lot of eyes watching this project, unsure if it would ever go from a dream into reality. The website alone has required more time and hard work than perhaps anyone realized going into this. And now as we see the light at the end of the tunnel we start to think - this is actually going to happen.
Considering the big picture however, the website is a small part of the overall plan. Once we finish this leg of the business we will be poised to enter a new beginning. Actually making the business work.
The website alone - crunkbox, is just our ante.
Suffice it to say, these owners are gamblers. And like most gamblers just biding time for the chance to push all our chips into the pot and hang on for the ride.

For better or worse...It's gonna be cool.
