Lions are an Austin, Texas based band that formed in July 2005. Their music is influenced by 60s and 70s era hard rock with 90s era fever. Lions create a blend of retro riffage, artful noise, melodic interludes, and revolutionary attitude.

Members include Matt Drenik (lead vocals, guitarist), Jake Perlman (drummer), Austin Kalman (lead guitarist, vocals), and Mike Sellman (bass guitar, vocals).

Additionally, the band has one of their songs - "Metal Heavy Lady" - as a bonus track in the video game Guitar Hero III.

Lions have toured the U.S. almost constantly for the past two years. They recently toured the east coast with Local H and are scheduled to tour the west coast with The Toadies.
